Autism Assessments

We offer comprehensive autism evaluations for children, teens, and adults who are seeking clarity, answers, and a deeper understanding of themselves or their child. Our approach focuses on understanding the whole person—including communication style, sensory experiences, emotional regulation, and day-to-day functioning—rather than relying solely on brief screenings or checklists.

Evaluations are individualized and designed to provide meaningful insight into strengths, differences, and support needs.

Our Approach

At Evergreen Counseling, we use a combination of clinical interviews, standardized tools, and observation to develop a well-rounded understanding of each individual. The goal is not just to determine whether autism is present, but to provide a clear and helpful picture that can guide next steps.

Two of the primary tools used in the evaluation process include the MIGDAS-2 and the SRS-2.

What To Expect

The evaluation process typically occurs over 2-3 sessions and includes:

  • A detailed intake and developmental history

  • Caregiver input and questionnaires (if necessary)

  • Direct interaction and observation

  • Review of relevant records (if available)

Following the evaluation, you will receive a comprehensive written report outlining findings, strengths, and individualized recommendations for support at home, school, or work.

Who Is This For

This service may be a good fit if you or your child:

  • Have always felt “different” but don’t have clear answers

  • Experience challenges with communication, social interaction, or sensory input

  • Struggle with anxiety, rigidity, or transitions

  • Are having difficulty in school, work, or relationships
